Basis of Nanotechnology

nanotechnologyWhen one thinks about the nanotechnology, there actually a lot of disciplines about which he might have to think and all these disciplines are intertwined in just one technology and they are given just one name that is nanotechnology. It is a fact that biology, physics, chemistry, materials science as well as the complete range of the engineering disciplines are actually combined under nanotechnology. Furthermore when people make use of this term they definitely refer to something which is directly or indirectly related to some exciting and new technology that actually includes the top most and the modern thoughts of science.
When we use the term nanotechnology we generally mean to understand the biological, physical as well as the chemical properties that are related to semi-atomic and the atomic scales. It can also be defined as the phenomena of manipulating the atoms in controlled way so as to generate specific materials having some of the exclusive abilities. While it would be totally wrong if we think nanotechnology to be totally manmade and the reason is that it is being used by the nature for so many years. It is generally evident when we take into consideration the use of enzymes with the catalysts in order to make different atoms and molecules as well that, in most unique way, have generated life on the planet.

Therefore the scientists today are also making researches about even how they can use water for the sake of powering up the automobiles. All that needs to be done for this is just to break water into various components and don’t just treat it simply like H2O. Therefore it will not be wrong if nanotechnology is called as the process through which science is put to use in the generation of things which actually are too small.

The man has become capable of rearranging the atoms of water as well as of dirt and even that of the air for making it possible to make our own rice and corn through nanotechnology. In order to illustrate the use of nanotechnology for such purposes the example is when man rearranges the coal’s atoms for the sake of creating diamonds.

Despite of all these facts nanotechnology has not become as much popular as it should be and this is very much evident from the fact that above 50 percent of the Americans don’t even know that what nanotechnology actually is.
